A comprehensive maternity system covering booking, antenatal care, delivery, postnatal and neonatal care
HD-Clinical provides the maternity information system, CMiS, which supports the management of the complete maternity cycle, from booking through to postnatal and neonatal care, in hospital and community care settings. CMiS is user friendly, with a high degree of flexibility for recording and retrieving information.
CMiS collects all the data and produces all the documents needed during the Pregnancy cycle from Registration, through Booking and Antenatal Care, to Admission, Delivery, Discharge, Postnatal follow up, and Coding. It includes:
A well-validated data-set conforming to national standards, constantly updated for statutory requirements and by the CMiS National User Group, and on which the Maternity Care Data Dictionary was largely based.
A transaction log and full audit trail can be implemented so that activity on individual pregnancy and baby records or by individual users can be monitored or reviewed when required. This can be used for such purposes as cases of litigation and to identify users that require supplementary training.
All inpatient activity can be recorded (admissions, transfers, discharges). A list of current inpatients/bed state can be produced. ICD10/Read codes are generated for each antenatal or postnatal admission.
The new Community Module enables recording of antenatal and postnatal contacts that occur in the community and support for the planning of visits.
HD Clinical has extensive experience in systems integration and is committed to interface/integrate CMiS to all major hospital systems as customers require, including those provided within NPfIT (Connecting for Health). CMiS can interface with any PAS system in a single or dual direction and with Child Health and Pathology Systems. CMiS can also be integrated with ultrasound and fetal monitoring equipment (CTG archiving).
