Solus Gateway
The most effective method of getting ECG, exercise test waveforms and data and a wide range of other medical device outputs into the clinical record and available for all users to see
HD Clinical have been in the forefront of ECG management. Unlike other products on the market Solus Gateway is not linked to any hardware manufacturer meaning that Trusts have absolute freedom in their choice of ECG and stress test hardware without any constraints imposed by the ECG management application.
Most importantly the latest version, Solus Gateway 3, can also handle the integration of a wide range of medical data sources including neurophysiology, lung function testing equipment and imaging modalities bringing the true electronic patient record a step closer to realisation.
Solus Gateway enables uploading of your ECG tracings from the ECG carts and treadmills to the ECG Gateway server across the hospital network using wired or wireless technology. From there it is automatically processed by the Solus Gateway server and permanently stored. When viewing of the ECG is requested the tracing is reconstituted in a read-only format and displayed through a web browser on any PC in the Trust. Reporting and editing of reports, with a full audit-trail, is provided and guarantees that each person viewing a tracing and report will always see the most up-to-date version.
In addition to acquiring, storing, viewing and editing ECG and stress test reports and waveforms records can also be added to fully searchable libraries for teaching and research purposes.
Currently Solus Gateway supports the acquisition and processing of ECG records and stress tests from GE/Marquette, Philips, Nihon Kohden, Fukuda Denshi, Mortara and virtually all other commonly used hardware systems. The range of supported hardware is constantly being extended and updated.
Solus Gateway 3 was released in December 2011 and is embedded into the Solus architecture providing a completely integrated package which can either stand alone supported by the Solus Enterprise core or can be implemented with the extensive features supplied by the Solus clinical modules.
